A second source for poly bags, outside Asia.
Many US buyers source poly bags from a few Asian countries. Türkiye is one of Europe’s largest packaging production hubs, and adding a Turkish factory spreads your supply risk.
Trade remedies
- US antidumping duty orders on polyethylene retail carrier bags apply to imports from China, Indonesia, Malaysia, Taiwan, Thailand and Vietnam, with a countervailing duty order on Vietnam (USITC, 2021). A new five-year review of these orders began in September 2026 (USITC notice).
- There is no such order on polyethylene retail carrier bags from Türkiye.
